Does this mean that they won't be repaving that section of 385 until they build the extra lanes? I hope not because that section is very rough with the patched chuck holes right now.

I thought I read that repaving was part of the stimulus package for this year.

You mean progressive, like when they widened 385 from 85 to Laurens Road, in preparation for a 42% traffic count increase that wasn't fully anticipated until 2015?

We could always be like Connecticut or Michigan. How long has I-95 been under contruction, and they started what, about 10 years too late? What about I-75 up through Detroit, which is completely shut down (in both directions), and has been for like 2 years? Then the best detour (Telegraph Rd) is also under construction, and then you could take M-53, but it's half closed to. Who closes down all northbound and southbound lanes of a major interstate, especially when it's the only major interstate on that side of the state? Also, do you not remember the madness known as I-485, and they started way too late on that one. What about the current widening projects in Atlanta that are about 15 years overdue?

That would literally be like shutting down I-85 (COMPLETELY, north and south) from Pelham to SC-14, and detouring everyone who travels that stretch onto Pelham and 14, while they're both also under construction and down to limited lanes.

Haven't you heard? If you live in the North, you are assumed to be progressive/liberal/forward-thinking unless proven otherwise. If you are in the South, you are assumed to be unprogressive/conservative/stuck in the past unless proven otherwise.
