Why is Laurens so much more than Duke. My son's house has Duke, I have Laurens. We live about 3 miles apart.

Duke $76.13/1032kwh = $0.074 per kwh
Laurens $154.59/1342kwh = $0.115 per kwh

You're in a co-op with Laurens electric. And be glad you have it. I have Duke Power and the person catty-corner across the street has Laurens Electric. We had no choice. We lose power at least a half dozen times a year, they probably lose it once or twice. In the winter, it often takes days for us to get our power put back on and it only takes hours for them.
We wish we had Laurens Electric!
(Though, it is comforting to know we're saving some money not having it. I didn't know that)
