Greenville Dating and Social Scene for 60's (live, to move)

My mother loves it here in Greenville each time she visits. She wants to move here but doesn't know much about the social scene for people her age (and nor do I, so I'm turning to you kind folks for info!).

I was thinking that she could meet people through church and work (she's an interior designer), but I think she would like to know that the social scene isn't just a big question mark when she makes the decision to move.

My mom enjoys the various cuisine, live music, art, and general atmosphere of our city. She is a creative soul that likes to go out and live it up, yet she is conservative and puts God and family first. I don't know that meeting people in church/work would be ideal for her...but I just don't know what other options there are! If anyone can please shed some light on where a super hip woman in her 60's would find dates and friends, please send me a message or post. Thank you!

It's been said many times here, but the best place is Do something, Learn something, Share something, Change something - Meetup.com there are groups for all sorts of interests and ages. Another great thing is that many of the people are also newcomers, so tend to not be so cliquish.
