I'll nominate the Gaffney Peach. The town water tower looks like, well, a giant peach.

There's also a covered bridge in Greenville County (or is it Spartanburg?) which is a pretty rare thing in the south.

I forget when it is you are coming, but there is a series of books 'off the beaten path' that always has some fun and different things to check out. They seem to have one for every state I've ever looked up.

If you come mid-May, the Greek Festival is pretty cool! Greenville Greek Festival

oh cool because I guess you could say I like to tour the unusual verses tourist traps

I don't wish this on anyone, but you will see plenty of weird and unusual things and people at the emergency room at Greenville Memorial. That place breeds the weird.
