So sorry for your loss ... especially at such a young age ... I've also had to deal with a few deaths in my family and you are right Legacy does charge you after a while ... what I did was go to findagrave site and posted memorials for my mother, father, grandfather, grandmother and my brother and my brothers daughter (my niece) .... I included some info for each and some pictures .... the site allows you to connect each page to other family members ..and it allows others to post .... you can donate to the site but it is free ... the only reason I did it was because when my brother died the only entry for him on Legacy was that he died and who was left ... I felt that there was more to his life than just that ... it was the only way that I could work thru the grief I was feeling ... I still miss my brother terribly ...
I also viewed the website about your father; what a great thing you did to honor a great man. I also lost my father to cancer and he was a huge life force to so many also. It's nice to read about beautiful love and strong families. Your Dad may be gone from this world but his legacy and his love remains forever; have peace in that.

Your memorial is beautiful. The deep love your have for your Dad clearly shines through. I also enjoyed the personalization of the "favorites" (we used to vacation in Wildwood when I was a kid). I'm so sorry about your Dad -- such a young man....gone way too soon. This is a wonderful tribute to him.
