I know you don't know me but please except my condolences to you & your family. I lost my mother last year & my father & father-in-law the year before (on the same day!), so I do understand how hard it can be. I know that no words I can say will ease your pain but I hope that you will able to find some peace.

Sorry for your loss...and prayers as you work thru this...she is at peace now, and in a state of perfection she has not known for a long time...let that bring you comfort.

You have my condolences also. Having lost my mother suddenly when I was a young girl I know that it is a loss that stays with you even many years later after the initial sorrow has mellowed with time. You have my best regards.

My condolences to you as well. Your post hits close to home. My beloved grandmother..my second mother...had dementia and passed away. She was bedridden as well and stopped acknowledging anyone. It's been four years and it still hurts. I'm sorry.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words! I had to spend Saturday making final arrangements, so I couldn't come here sooner to thank you all.

I miss my mom, and I miss her sister, too. She is still alive, but in the same shape my mom was in. I also had to make some very difficult phone calls to relatives yesterday (and some more today) and tell them the news.

I am happy that my Mom isn't suffering anymore. I really am.

I am an only child, and my mother and I were very close.

Over the last 8 years of her illness I had come to accept the inevitable, but I still miss her everyday.
