What are they shooting cyn.....I remember deer season in the fall.....is it birds? I am sorry for your dogs....and for all the critters that are hunted as if their lives werent as precious to them as ours are to us.

I wasn't raised by my Daddy ta hunt and I couldn't do it. All those poor babies. Don't even go to what the Chinese and other Asian nations do to dogs and cats. Gross and horrible all going on at once. I would like the UN ta go in and shut down the Yunin Dog Festival altogether. It's coming 'round again.
As far as I know it is just target practice but there seems to always be some kind of hunting season going on here. I was not raised as a hunter and have respect for any living creature. I do try to understand a person who feeds their family by hunting but trophy hunting is just sad. I did not realize that people could shoot in their back yard in the country here so that was a hard one to deal with.
elkotronics, As far as the treatment of animals in other countries I'm that ostrich with her head in the hole in the sand...those people have been raised in a way I don't understand but it is their way so I have to do my best not to let it rent space in my tiny brain! In some ways the less I know the better if I cannot change it. But like you I wish it was different!

Yes, I see what you mean, cymwldkat. It would help if I had never learned of these things. I do hope Jehovah shuts their pain receptors off in time so they don't feel any of the pain. I don't know why I have to point my brain to these inequities like this but I do.
Lets change the subject.....I might have led us down this path....but talk of animal cruelty boarders on cruelty to those of us who are very sensitive to it.. Thank You
Yes, I agree elston, and no offense to anyone--it happens as it is life but here we need to keep on the high path here and steer away from sad things especially regarding animals so let's enjoy the ones we have and taken the best care of them!
Looks like rain here again...we need it! The repair guy for my dishwasher couldn't get here yesterday after all so he will try this afternoon. Have plans to go to my sons house this Sunday for a lunch and to also see my D/H's son and his wife there. Have a blessed day everyone.
