Not sure why but am going through some emotional turmoil.....guess it is normal but not comfortable!
The storms were wicked last night to say the least. I have never seen so much lightening and loud thunder. My poor dogs were a wreck. I even gave them natural composure chews and it didn't seem to help a bit! At one point Bella wanted out so I figured maybe she had to go to the bathroom from being so scared and she bolted out the door...have no clue where she thought she was going---probably just trying to get away from the noise! Anyhow I ran out and brought her back in. Then the electricity went out. I don't think I slept but a few hours at most and today is my hard day at work. I'll do it and be fine! Just happy that storm is over!! Now we are looking at freezing weather again. Crazy weather this year.I did go to my neighbors 75th Birthday party at the church and it was very nice---luckily I got home before the storm hit!!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

After I got home from work yesterday I had a phone message to call my BIL in CA. It seems my sister that has Myasthenia Gravis broke her good hip. She broke the other one a few years ago and ended up with MRSA. She has never really healed from that.....now this. I feel so badly for both her and her husband. Please keep them in your prayers!
Have a lovely day everyone!

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month and that means....... "pot luck dinner" after the rise of Friends Meeting.

I enjoy cooking and feeding people....so I look forward to it. I am going to make a New England Boiled Dinner.....since that is sort of traditional for March. I am not using a corned beef.....(corned beef is associated with March and St Patricks Day but, it is a bit pricey this year); instead I am using a smoked pork shoulder...which is common in New England. I will be cooking up carrots and red potatoes, onions, rutabagger turninp and wedges of cabbage. I will slice up the meat in the morning and put it and the boiled vegetables in the slow cooker to keep warm.
