The lady I'm negotiating my job in Prescott, AZ, is going to ask the doctor for assistance for us. It's just too expensive to move there if we aren't going to get any help. I'm testing on Monday to get credentialed in my field. I am hoping to pass it this time as I've been tutored for a couple months and feel I'm ready. We love Arizona but it's so much money to move 1,200 miles away. So we'll see - I'll let y'all know.

Good Tuesday, all of you all!

Three months since my husband passed, now Saturday my Mom passed.
My grief for Mom is no where near the intensity of the grief for my husband. Perhaps because Mom was 84??

You are in a vulnerable state with having two losses .... even tho Mom's passing was timely and not totally unexpected....it is still a loss and you are already diminished by the death of your husband. I am so sorry for your losses and will be holding you in my thoughts and sending as much strength as I am able.

Good Tuesday, all of you all!

In fact, my good friend retired from the VA in Prescott, she was in the same job as you. You more than likely would want to live in Chino Valley (where I live) it is less expensive than Prescott. It is a excellent place to live.

Here? I am certifiably insane. I thought I'd be over this, but I'm not. It's still a part of my life. I should have expected it.

Oh no. Tomorrow is June 21st; the day I lost my little girl 23 years ago. I've been barely hanging on since my mom died less than 3 months ago.

I am in total fear of my own pain.

To make matters worse my 15 yr old twin girls will be on I25 to Denver for a fun day at Six Flags. I hate that highway. My first daughter was a twin; thank God her brother is alive & well. Now I want to call the whole day off but that wouldn't be right. They saved their babysitting money to pay for tomorrow... Now what.

Boy that is a tough one coschristi! Like you I'd want to keep them home and safe with me but like you said it wouldn't be right.....they have a life and need to be able to enjoy it. I know that doesn't make it any easier for you. I am so sorry for both of your losses. What a tragedy! You will be in my thoughts.
Geraina, I constantly think I should be over this or at least farther ahead then I am but since we are each different I guess it is all up to who we are! Keep moving forward my friend!
I talked to my best friend from high school last night and she has been dealt a rough hand as well....she lost her mother, father and younger brother all to cancer in a very short period of time. Now her husband had rectal cancer after he had melanoma 10 years ago and appeared to beat the odds with that and now this. My girlfriend was the caregiver for all of them. She has a sister and daughter that helps but still.....She is coming to visit me at my daughters when I go to CA.
More rain all week....helps with the heat for short periods anyhow. I work tonight. Got my shots for my shoulders yesterday but my right arm is still quite sore. Hopefully it will work in a couple of days. It's pretty bruised so maybe that is the reason it still hurts.
I hope everyone has a blessed day!

I find I am overwhelmed with the sadness and emotional pain and am needing to take a break.

So sorry elston....You always add so much positive and it's obvious we need that but I know how the pressure of so much sadness can bring a person down. I hope your break isn't long I look so forward to reading your posts as they always help me see the "good" and positive!
