It appears I have come down with a cold. No surprise with everyone around me at work being sick. It could be an allergy but I think it is a cold. Taking my vitamins and gargling with salt water....

Have a happy day everyone!

I hope you are able to minimize your cold and that it doesn't get any worse. I gargle with Lysterine when I get a cold. I guess I think it kills the germs better? But salt water can be soothing.......

I have some peroxide mouth wash I have used for the germs and have gargled with that! Good idea Molly! I have been making myself drink lots of water and I do feel a bit better this morning. My ear ache seems to be gone!! I put hydrogen peroxide in each ear a couple of times yesterday. I picked up some Advil cold medicine also so with all combined I think it is helping! I did sleep well!
I am still having sad feelings about my girlfriend being gone and being alone again--guess it just takes time and I am really working as well as I can on seeing all the positives around me! You are all a part of that!
Have a blessed day my friends!

Good Morning Friends. I hope you have a good week end.

We had to have our a/c worked on (restoration) yesterday to repair some damaged wires and corrosion; clean away mildew and mold and add an ultra-violet light to inhibit its return and clean the filter. It was expensive but they did offer an interest free 1 year plan and gave a $1000 credit when it comes time to replace it. (They last approximately 10 years and this one is 5 years old.) We didnt plan on this expense...but it feels good knowing that it is done.

The same to you cyn.

Yesterday I started back on a healthy eating diet.....both for health and the corollary goal of weight loss.....low salt/sodium and less meat and more vegetables. I need to find a good balance....last night my on line tacker "scolded" me for not eating enough...not eating enough to sustain health while losing weight. So this morning I did have some toast and a banana and a mandarin orange. Oh and coffee.

It's like you can read my mind sometimes elston! I have been trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast--I need to keep eating and that is so hard for me!! Toast and banana with mandarin orange sounds so good--just don't have the banana or orange. I really need to go shopping today..have been putting it off saving for tires but still need to eat so am off to the store. No church since I still am having some sniffles and a cough. Just not to sure if it's a cold or allergies and don't want to spread it to others if it is a cold.

My guy starts everyday with a hard boiled egg.....he was "crashing" while playing tennis everymorning....he wasnt getting enough protein....so now he starts with an egg and a low fat fruited greek yogurt (hi protein and a little sugar to get him going). The dogs wait and beg for a little bit of the egg white. tip if you steam the eggs instead of boiling them.....they peel in a breeze.

He also takes a couple of lttle candies to help if he feels depleted while he's playing. He also needs to watch salt intake during the summer because he perspires so much he needs to change his shirt twice while playing.

That's interesting about the eggs elston. How long do you steam them? I think a hard boiled egg in the morning is a good idea! Maybe a banana with peanut butter for a side? I have just got to get myself back into a meal routine!
The meeting was as expected, nothing really new just the basics. I didn't get home until 8:30pm and it was raining--not my favorite was to drive but at least I did get paid for going!
Rain today again and a bit cooler today!
Have a lovely day one and all!
