Went to Sunday school yesterday and enjoyed it! I've been missing that. Then went out to dinner with my friend. We went to the lake and sat and talked after dinner. It was nice!
More rain this week--it does make things grow I guess.
Work tonight and I need to go by my bank to get some money out for my tires I hope to get on Wed. Seems my money goes as quick--even quicker sometimes then I make it. Guess that is true for many now days sadly! Least I will have Saturdays to work now so that should help a little.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Happy Monday! Big storms here around 4:00 am. and more to come this afternoon. We need the rain, but the dogs aren't crazy about the thunder and lightning!
two of my three dogs are very anxious during storms....since Irma went thru ....that includes wind....which never used to bother them.I think the changing air pressure and wind...caused a couple of doors to slam....and now the wind ranks right up there with thunder and lightning.
Today (Monday) was a big day for us. My wife is finally starting to feel better from the flu she's had for a week - week and a half now. Our flood elevation report came to us today and...good news. Our house is above the "safe" flood level on all points that they measure from. So, our flood insurance will still have to be acquired, but, it will be the lowest cost flood insurance necessary. Armed with this information we went downtown in Alamogordo to USA Insurance. Wow - that woman really hooked us up with a good deal. The fire and flood house insurance quote just about equalled what it did without the flood insurance in the original quote - plus, she found us Traveler's Insurance for our car for just $55 a month. And that includes glass insurance for the car. Yikes - I asked her what it would cost if I put in a claim to get a new windshield for the Kia Soul. $50 deductible. Unbelievable - our house and car combined is going be really affordable.
So, our loan officer and real estate agent got together and it was decided that it was time to make the Amended Purchase Agreement - $9,900 less because of the appraisal coming in that amount lower. Nice. So we both signed (my wife and I) and the seller signed. Now we need to order a pest inspection and we're just about to go to the closing table after that. Could be closing in about a week or perhaps a week and a day or two.
Whoo - hooo! I actually can't wait to get my Troy-Bilt mower out of storage and do some good 'ole yardwork here in another month or so. We thank God above for helping us get here and we are humbly going to do our best to work hard and keep up the house, and always do our best at work and serving the Creator of all things on the earth and the Heavens.
I am so happy for you elko--very deserved!
My dogs are sensitive to the storms and get very nervous! I was sad last night because I worked with the main boss last night and as usual he kept me later and when I got home poor little Bella made a small pee mess. She is old and can only hold it so long. I try to tell my boss but he has a business to run and I do understand but still............
Got that cleaned and was just to tired to eat so just went to bed after eating a banana. It rained very hard so my sleep was on and off all night. I'm slacking on eating again so that has to be taken care of and I need to get back to taking care of myself! Guess today is a good day to start that again! Be happy to get my new tires tomorrow--the beginning of a few important things that need taking care of!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!
