After he left NYC he really left that aggressive driving behind.....he said you had to drive like that when everyone else is....he is now a very mellow driver.....below the speed limit...courteous.....always uses signals.....etc. Like I said, in Maine on country roads he would pull over to let cars pass.....the locals tended to drive fast on those single lane roads so they would collect behind him when he was going 35 mph....so he routinely pulled off and let them pass....sometimes that would happen many times before we got to church or where ever we were going.
Thanks Scotthouse! He does seem much better this morning.
Work was difficult didn't get home until nearly 10pm again! I start the pet sitting job this morning. Praying all goes well!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Some people are just impatient drivers, cyn. Unfortunately, my husband is the same way. I am always telling him to just relax. At least he doesn't roll down his window and yell at other drivers. But I sure get an ear-ful in the car when he gets frustrated with other drivers (who are usually NOT doing anything wrong, just driving slower than he thinks they should.)
Otherwise, my hubby is a nice, kind, caring compassionate man. I truly don't know what happens when he gets behind the wheel of a car!
So don't take it personally
My hubby is a bit like that too. I think it’s a male dominance thing.
I’m a very easy going driver, but I will admit that I frequently call other drivers bad words when I’m by myself.
Lol, elston, I was a super aggressive driver up in Mass. when I commuted to work. My Dad taught me to drive and his second job was being a cabbie in Boston. Ha, commuting was only an excuse for me!
I have slowed and calmed down so much since moving to SWFL but 41 tests my resolve to be a nicer driver! I hate 41! I go back roads to Port Charlotte whenever I can. I don't wander far from home because the road system down here is such a nightmare! Point A does not lead to Point B most of the time.

driving in Boston used to terrify me....talk about "road systems" laid out by cows in colonial days. lol I went to BU and commuted from Providence RI....but seldom wnt into the city....just to and from . I dont drive much now...and still get easily lost in Ft Myers after 5 years.
The subject of driving is big and large - cars are something I love, but bad and nasty drivers can make things tense and...annoying. Cars give you so much independence, though. I remember my parents telling me this when I was 14 or 15 - hey, I was already right there! I literally could not wait to drive! I still love driving, too.
Being a truck driver in the Los Angeles area for years taught me a lot of words I wish I never learned! I am still trying to forget them!
I can't imagine you driving a truck and using rude language....that is a whole different image. lol
