I hear you, cyn. We got 3" yesterday and more today already. I saw video of Redding yesterday. What devastation! I even saw a fire tornado! I have only seen them in Australia. I saw one poor man come back to his whole family dead. Poor, poor people. I don't even want to imagine the loss of wildlife.
Hard rain again yesterday into the evening. Not a fun drive home. And again I did see a deer watching the traffic drive by but he stayed out of the road thank God!
Not much sleep but that is normal when I work nights. I just don't unwind from work!
Getting my hair done by my girlfriend today and am really looking forward to it! When I look better I feel better!
I still have to check in on my friends in Redding today but last word was it is heading away from town now but still burning badly! Very sad!
I hope everyone has a blessed day!
We had to take our beagle girl to the vet yesterday. Her orthopedic problems are getting worse (she has lots of mobility issues related to her amputated front leg (when she was a puppy)....her rear leg is getting arthritic from having to compensate for the missing front limb. Yesterday she was unable to support her weight (another issue) and my guy had to carry her in and out and to the water and food bowls and her bed.
The doctor gave her a new pain medication. We did have the hard talk about "quality of life" but are going to see how she does with the new medication and a strict weight reduction diet.
She slept well last night and seem comfortable this morning.
Thank You all. Today is definitely better than yesterday. She did get up and when my DH took her out....she did her business and came in and had breakfast (diet portion). We medicated her and she has been sleeping since. She is a very low energy girl anyway.....I think that it typical for her breed as they hit middle age.
I'm happy to hear a good report on your fur-baby elston. Hope she continues to improve!
I know the medication helps!
We are getting those wicked pop-up rain storms everyday and everynight! I'll be happy to see them slow down a bit! Yes we need the rain but now we are having flooding and trees falling so enough is enough! So far we have been lucky in my area and no problems except my poor gravel road looks like a river! Didn't hear from my friends yesterday in Redding but am sure they are very busy with clean-up. Last I head the fire was heading another direction.
I hope everyone has a blessed fay!
Boy, I miss everyone today. I hope all are doing well!
