That was excellent advise, Harry! Thank goodness it is down to a cat 1. What destruction I have seen is already bad enough.
Good for you taking that kitty to a safe place, Cyn. I hope your place is safe.
Had my ultrasound yesterday. She took a long time and was very thorough. She is concerned about my left kidney. Got my fingers crossed. Oh, cyn, try either quinine water or potassium pills (bananas) for the leg cramps.
Good morning!
Lost electricity last night but it's back on now thankfully! Got up to feed to kitties and check in here now I'm going back to bed until the sun comes up so I can go out and look things over! Have a blessed day everyone!

So glad you didn't lose electricity for any longer.
Last year (and the year before) when the hurricanes came through our area, we were without power for almost a week. It was miserable without fans or air conditioning, and of course no water since we have a well.
We ended up getting a hotel room about 30 miles away just to sleep/shower in, and spent our days at home with the dogs and cleaning up the debris.
Molly, At the end of a hard day of cleaning and clearing and tending to the doggies.....it must have felt good to return to a hotel room and have a hot shower and A/C.

It was such a welcome relief. I definitely don't take electricity for granted any more after that. Also, without working well water, no flushing the toilets (except with a bucket of water) so I was very appreciative of that amenity
I have much empathy for what the residents in the path of the hurricane are experiencing, and hope the situation improves quickly.
The wind and rain were so hard last night our electricity went out several times. I got up and reset the clocks each time so not a lot of sleep. I am suppose to work today--we'll see what it looks like when the sun comes up. I'm going back to bed for a bit--cats are fed.
I hope that the store is closed so you can get some rest. It looks as if the hurricane maybe heading inland....and I guess that means you will be getting the rains. Be careful.
I don't think they ever close our store! Still not sure but am leaning towards giving it a try to get in!
Like I said earlier I will keep an eye on the conditions before I make a final decision.
