It's 36° here. I'd love your 65.

temp ft myers fl is 52 going up to 79 this afternoon and then for the rest of the week high temps above 80....I can handle that .

Good Morning everyone.....best wishes for a good weekend. I am beginning to do some prep work for Thanksgiving. I signed up to make corn bread dressing for the potluck at meeting...(getting very much into the Southern culture mode.....I grew up on bread stuffing with perhaps chestnuts or sausage added.....and I used to put sausage into it also.....

I am also making a Japanese style fried rice dish .... my DH really doesn't care for mashed potatoes which will be there in abundance and he also doesn't eat stuffing or dressing. In truth, he doesn't care for most of the traditional Thanksgiving menu, except perhaps pecan pie. He is a good sport however and agreed to come to the potluck. We went last year and he had a good time. He is very social.

Thank you harry--I agree. I am feeling pretty down lately--Wednesday I have to get the other hormone shot and they are not fun. Hope I feel good enough to drive to my sons for Thanks giving. I'm sure going to try--miss those grand children!
have a blessed day everyone!

Maybe it's the darkness and cold, but I kept falling asleep today. I didn't get up until 9 and have taken 2 naps. Two! I'm still dealing with the lingering cold, but this is pathetic.

I think the cold plays a big role since I've been feeling the same way. I have to push myself to do anything it seems. I did get a lot done yesterday morning--oil changed, tires rotated and found out what that noise is in my car---a hole in my exhaust pipe so they said. I'll have that repaired tomorrow I hope if it doesn't cost to much.
I sure hope once I am cancer free I will feel like my old self!!
Have a blessed day one and all.

Here's to you feeling better, cyn. I am thinking of you and sending you the very best of wishes. Everyone enjoy their Sunday's! I am a couple of days in to getting 12 days off in a row! That is a big deal when you're working full time, indeed. I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday, November 28th!

Good morning.

I have been fixing up my room the past couple of days. I bought 3 Lazy-Susans for my bureau top and a couple of 3 and 4 tiered shelved carts to get my junk out of plastic bags, closet shelf, top of said bureau. I just love the Lazy-Susans! My room looks so de-cluttered! Nothing thrown away but so neat now. I also now have a proper place to store my "goodies" that I can't leave out in the kitchen because those little bas_tards eat it all up on me. Very pleased with my room now. It has taken me almost 2 years to do this but it's finally done.

Bought myself a new "toy". A stand alone Virtual Reality thingamabob. Woo-hoo! It's neat!! I went on a rollercoaster, went swimming with Whale Sharks and went to the moon last night!!! For someone who doesn't have a life like me, it is marvelous!

Boy if I had the energy I'd try at least one of those. Sounds great--even alone!

Cyn, looks to me as though you're doing amazingly well doing what you need to, fighting your illness, despite the fact that you don't feel well. And your determination to maintain a positive attitude toward things (not easy with the burdens you face) is a continued source of admiration, I am sure, not just for those who read your words online but for your "real life" friends, family, neighbors and everyone who knows you. Many kudoes and continued prayers and positive energy for you, and while it may not seem so while you're in the middle of this fight, I know you WILL beat this cancer.
