Today would have been my husband's 65th birthday. He died five years ago October 26th (eight days ago). Two anniversaries so close....it's a long week of memories and bittersweet days. I fixed myself his favorite dinner, the one I made every year for his birthday. It was sad, but not as hard as the first couple of years. Thankfully this week is over for another year.....
Hi from me too, Marcy. I am glad the time has passed also. Earl's 64th b'day would have been the 6th of Nov. I really hate this time of year, all leading up to Jan. 19th, the day he died. Stay strong, my friend. We are doing okay.
Just awful, isn't it? It also seems worse to me because it's dark and cold. There are four birthdays, one a month, for me to remember during this season. My brother's was at the end of September, my father's birthday was in October, my mother's in November, my husband's in December. My mother passed last October. My brother died fourteen years ago on my husband's birthday. At least I only have one day to deal with next month.
Maybe because it was more recent, but I'll miss mom being around for her birthday. She was a kid at heart and loved holidays, birthdays and any sort of celebration.

{{{{{Tami}}}}} I know how you feel. I still think of Bob constantly and yet it doesn't feel like I've been alone five years. It is long ago, but just yesterday.
Sorry I "borrowed" your thread, Marcy, I didn't want to start another thread just to talk about Earl. Thanks, my friend. (((Hugs)))
