A poem I wrote about my nephew (is this appropriate?)

meo92953, What a beautiful poem and I'm so sorry for your loss of your sister.
Also so sorry for you Charlotte, for the loss of your cousin.
If we could only bring them back, hug them, surround them with everyone who loves them and tell them to keep on living, how life is so worth living, and that things will work out.
If only we knew how low they were during the dark times of their despair. How many times in our lives afterwards, will we wish we could have seen the signs and been there to help, right then and there? How many people remaind consumed with guilt? It is just a tragedy that never ends for the loved ones.
This is why we are grateful, as sad as it was, that Robin Williams death created so much awareness of depression and how damaging it is. People are either too ashamed to admit it or do not know enough about mental illnesses. I went through undiagnosed depression for years. Thankfully I had the courage to share with my doctor that I was having suicidal thoughts and she put me on antidepressants. What a difference that has made in my life.
Meo, you are so right, and I'm glad you were able to get the help you need. Mental illness is so misunderstood, and often lack of knowledge makes people uncomfortable to even talk about it.
Thanks Dude
Shh, that is a very nice poem. Somehow I missed it until now.
