I reluctantly saw a medium about 30 yrs ago and he was so OFF. Never done it again.

I consult my pendulum when I feel I need to know something. There is a lot I don't need or want to know. This is my body energy work.

I use it mostly for checking supplements I think of using and I get a positive or negative reply on IF they are good for me.

I sometimes talk about it who is going to be our next president and right now it's telling NOT a woman. We shall see won't we. Could be our next VP will be a woman.

Gone a bit off topic but talking about mediums.

I remembered I needed a screwdriver to tighten a cabinet, went to the tool chest and right on top, you couldn't miss them, were two cards he had bought. They appeared out of nowhere. Found another card at another time, that said "always remember how much I love you." There are times I get flustered trying to do something or do something on the computer and I say, "could you please help me." Somehow the answer comes to me and all is well. We have a golden retriever who is also a certified therapy dog. She goes to school with my daughter, who is a learning disability specialist. One day my daughter said, "oh the students loved her new leash." I didn't know what she was talking about. She showed it to me and it was a purple braided leash that my husband had purchased in Maine and I hadn't seen it since he bought it, yet it showed up in her therapy bag. So I decided to buy her a matching collar, went to her box that he kept her shampoos and things in order to see if I needed anything else. In that box was a purple color, with the tags still on it.

I cannot explain any of these occurrences, except to say we were best friends and his passing was sudden and unexpected. The family and medical staff felt he fought to live the last day so hard because he was worried about me. I always told him I couldn't live without him.

It was quite an emotional event as you'd expect. A few shocking revelations for some! He gives details that only the family or people who knew the deceased would know. Ultimately it is comforting because you realize there is life after death and our loved ones are always around us.

Matt inherited his gift and talks about how he works that is different from some mediums and has a great sense of humor so you laugh through your tears. One woman was so shocked when a dead relative gave her a message she nearly fainted. Matt joked, "Don't worry, I am a trained EMT. But if you die, you can still talk to me!"

I just went to Matt Fraser's website that you linked. Upon reading his disclaimer at the bottom of his page, I saw this and it made me think.................. Hmmmm.

" Recording or taping your session with Matt or Angela is strictly prohibited.
The use of speakerphone during your session is not permitted."

What's that all about? Also he doesn't post a price for his private sessions (at least I couldn't find it). George Anderson, on the other hand, does list his price for a private session. Just looking at both of their websites, it seems to me that Andeson is more legit than Fraser...just my opinion.

FWIW, that disclaimer is worthless on its own. It may be part of boilerplate intended to dissuade debunkers or leeches. If a recorded session were broadcast or put on social media, the disclaimer plus privacy laws combined might have weight. As someone who has had interactions with the media in the (more sane) past, I learned that most are out for the story and anything that will increase readership and ad revenue, and real journalism is largely an expensive exercise that gets abbreviated to out of context quotes and twisted words.

To answer the question -- no. I am comfortable with knowing what I know. There have been a few instances when the "veil" parted and there was something that I recognized as a sign -- my daughter had similar experiences. I'm not interested in having an intermediary involved or projecting some sort of interpretation.

Ah ok, that reasoning makes sense. Doesn't the Caputo lady actually make a recording of her sessions for the client (not that I take much stock in her regardless)?

My husband died on Christmas day 2014 and even after 4 years I haven't seen any "signs" or had any "dreams" of any significance. So lately I've thought about trying a medium. I'd really like to know if he's ok. Maybe then I could move on a little more than I have.

Me neither, Suns. I am happy with what I "know".

Aww, janellen, I am sorry you don't feel comfortable about your husband's death. Even if I hadn't had any "signs", I would still be comfortable with mine's death. That is my faith at work there. There's no guarantee that everyone will have a "sign". Who knows, it may be all in my head too! He is never far from my mind, so when my subconscious takes over when I sleep, it may be having me dream of him. Personally, I would not go to a medium. If I may.....The Bible specifically says not to go to a soothsayer, aka medium. Of course there is a whole list of things not to do but we humans ignore it. Just a little fyi there.

Yes, Theresa Caputo makes a recording for her clients, except, I think, for group readings. I have read somewhere, at sometime, that selling your abilities somehow diminishes your capabilities in the occult. IDK who said that and IDK if it happens but it sure is a money maker for some!

I went to a medium after my Mom's death in 2012. She had fallen and died very suddenly from a brain bleed, and I just wanted to hear that she hadn't been scared and/or that she was OK. The medium had been recommended by a friend who'd gone to her after her husband died and received some very specific messages. This lady was totally "off" for me. She didn't say a word about my Mom dying and she said a couple things that really made me chuckle (to myself) at just how off she was. My young cousin was with me -- she wanted to hear from her friend, who had just died from an overdose. But she didn't get anything out of it either.

Oh well. I do dream about my Mom all the time, so that's a comfort. BTW, she would've thought the whole medium thing was BS anyway, so she's probably not the best candidate for "coming through".

My father passed and his girlfriend consulted one. It was very vague, essentially telling you all of what you'd want to hear. No real "Wow" statements in there, mostly prosaic things that consisted of "I Miss you, we should have been married, ect, ect".

To be honest, I'd rather leave well enough alone. Grief and sadness is hard enough to deal with, without digging it up again. That's just me, we're all different.

This is just my opinion, but I think everyone who has had a loved one die, has just one wish and that wish is for one more conversation. I think it's even more than, "they're doing okay", it's a confirmation from them that there's more than this (often) pitiful world and that they know what is going on in the world they left behind. They want verification during that conversation that it is indeed their loved one and it can be a let down when that doesn't happen. I also do believe that the Lord gives people certain gifts during their life time and those gifts can stay with them or they can change. Lastly, I do believe he gives people an ability to communicate with those that have passed over. When someone receives that communication it is the blessing that they needed. I wish there was a way for each of us that want that conversation to find the medium/psychic that can have it with us.
