Bible talk

I have not been on the site for a long time and have just read the past couple of pages of entries. I note the sadness and the angst towards Christianity as presented by a few. I would like to say this since it is the New Year's beginning.
Each year the world celebrates the coming New Year with revelry and mindless activity. Each year they long for the old year to end with all its disappointments and sorrows and hope that the New Year will bring great promise and joy - but each year the same thing happens. Man puts his hope in man and his machinations to solve all the problems, be it war, poverty, disease, political discord, drought, famine, etc...and each year there is more war instead of less, the poor are still destitute and the list goes on the same. We must not be as the children of the world - we must be as children of God. When we speak negatively about Christianity we are filling our minds with darkness and falling into the deception and negativity of the deceiver. Lift up your minds, my brethren, and look in your mind's eye to the throne of God and be of good cheer. The world was redeemed by Jesus on the cross. His resurrection could only happen because His sacrifice was acceptable to the Father. He won the War over satan. Do not let the dark one cause us to give up and turn against our own. Love of God overcomes all...may this New Year cause us to not be as those of the world. We embrace the great reality - that each day is a New Day for each day of life we come to the throne of grace and pronounced clean and new by His righteousness. God bless you and keep you all.

A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to everyone. I praise the Lord for His continual abundant grace, love and provision in all circumstances. May you all enjoy friends and family, and easily find things to be thankful for.
