Just wondering if anyone out here is doing IDPA competitions and your thoughts.
Shot SSP with a Sig 226 in IDPA for a couple of years. Was fun but difficult. Stopped a couple yrs back and have no desire to do it again. Been focusing mainly on personal defense and training since then.
Tried IPSC and IDPA -- didn't care for 'em. Now, when I can afford the ammo, I limit myself to Western 3-Gun (sorta like cowboy IPSC with rifle and shotgun added) and its modern-day cousin, Action Pistol. Action Pistol is shot on the same stages as Western 3-Gun, only with modern pistols.
My Western 3-Gun firearms are a brace of Remington New Model Army revolvers, either a '60 Henry or a '66 Winchester, and an 1878 Colt coach shotgun.
My Action Pistol firearms are either a SIG P226 (9mm) or a Colt Series '70 Combat Commander (.45 acp).
