Good for them. Hopefully they will send a strong message to the legislature and vote out the architects of this law in the next election.

If I was a citizen of Connecticut the only mandate that I would follow would be what is set forth in the 2nd Amendment.
It appears that large numbers of like minds are doing the right thing and ignoring tyranny.

Also the article quoted this;

"There are a lot of people, they just do not know about this law," said Scott Wilson, president of the 12,000-member Connecticut Citizens Defense League, a Second Amendment advocacy group. "There are people finding out now after the fact."

Lawful gun owners are some of the most well informed populations in this country, mainly due to the gun grabbers attempting the very garbage we are speaking of here on this thread.
It is LAUGHABLE that Scott Wilson has suggested that CT gun owners are ignorant of something that adversely affects them and their freedom.

I'm sure the President will issue an executive order instructing them to not enforce any gun laws, just like he has with immigration, minimum wage, and every other democrat pet project.

Good to hear. Though I wish we could make the fear mongering term 'assault weapon' go away.

Such a shame that all those legal firearm owners are now felons if caught. I don't understand why the legislatures don't make laws that directly go after illegal guns. It is always the law abiding that suffer these silly laws never the thugs that need to be locked up.

Oh...I'm sure they will look the other way, then give amnesty to all the illegal gun owners in about 20 years.

As wrong as the law is, the unfortunate thing is that those folks can never use their gun for the purpose that they purchased the gun for, and that is self defense. They can be completely in the right, but if they defend themselves with one of those weapons, they will be in the wrong, and go to jail, for what would have been lawful defense. It's sad that people get pushed into that situation.

I would not register is either. I would most likely hide is so it could not be found but my mags and guns I would to as far as removing them from the state and putting them with a family member in a gun friendly state. I would then start to get my affairs so I could at some point move out of that state.

Why would anyone who is into guns live in Connecticut anyway?! You can throw a rock from there into New Hampshire...Night and Day difference.
