I called the Dicks this weekend and just as I suspected, they still sell 5.56/223 ammo.
How about that: they won't carry the firearm but they'll sell the ammo. How's that for principle?

So I guess all,the antis that said hooray and would support dicks were lying?
Doesn't surprise me.
Normally I feel bad for any brick and mortar store that falls on hard times, but not these guys. They were so disingenuous about their actions.
They are too stupid, they are a sporting goods store, that refuses to sell one part of sporting goods, hunting is a big part, and as for the ammo, I suspect once they are sold out then they might not carry that either, the heck with them, I would not buy anything from them anyway, just a matter of time and they will all be gone off the face of this earth because of their own stupidity.
I wonder what would happen if a car dealer who sold a car to a drunk driver who killed someone, then decided to not sell cars anymore, I think we all know the answer to that.

More than likely because there are other rifles chambered in .223, like bolt actions?
When I lived in WV Dicks was known as the soccer kids store, not a great firearms store. I'm certain they'll survive. There's more soccer moms than one would think, lol.
