Could you expand on that a little?

1st of all it is a local company and I know the founder. But that's not the main reason

2nd Call covers you from day one, whether or not you win in court.

The others, you lay out the money (which could easily be in the 100s of thousands of dollars) and if you win, then you get pain back

Thanks for the links Mike1003, very good information. Reading and comparing their offerings, I lean toward the US Law Shield.

Not true - Law Shield covers you from the time of the incident. They put a local attorney on your case within hours of your call.

Whichever outfit my friend had was utterly worthless. Older guy goes home, sees a burglary in progress, presumes his wife is home, confronts thief who is young and much bigger than him. Intruder makes a move towards him, he shot and killed him.

That legal insurance? Nadda, zipola. Left him hanging.

If it wasn’t for local fundraising my hunting friend would’ve lost everything. Years in the courts and thank God it was a hung jury and the County Prosecutor felt it unwise to re-try the case.

All I got to say is ‘caveat emptor’.

Gosh, where I live if you shoot a thief inside your home it is called justifiable homicide. End of situation. But maybe the law is different in MT
