My understanding is that the overwhelming negative response to the re-classification of spent military small arms ammo requiring it's destruction before government salvage sale has resulted in that declaration being overturned.

There were, as is not uncommon, a lot of unintended consequences to that original destruction order.

It would have dried up the primary source of police ammunition in the country, too, as well as civilian reloads.

Simply another try by the gun-grabbers to skirt around the second amendment rights ... by making ammunition impossible to obtain, thus rendering firearms useless for all law abiding citizens.
