I've started oiling my hair (coconut oil/ olive oil) thrice a week and have switched to completely natural products. I use Nyassa Bath and Body Works natural Hibiscus Shampoo and Conditioner and my hair texture and volume has improved drastically. Also, once a week i mix coconut oil with 2 drops of lemon and a bit of aloe vera and massage it to my hair followed by a hot towel treatment.
Tigi shampoos clean well, self absorbed is good. I either use a clarifying shampoo or a cheap shampoo to help get rid of styling products. Nourishing and damaged shampoos make hair too soft.
I high recommend One & Only Argan Oil Color Oasis Volumizing shampoo. It's available at Sally Beauty Supply. I cannot believe the difference in my hair? My fine hair looks full and is holding the style much better since using this product.
I rarely ever purchase the same hair product twice, not only did I purchase this shampoo again, I got the largest bottle. They also have a conditioner but I've not tried it yet.
Those dry shampoo sprays help my hair feel fuller more body. No other shampoo ever worked for me. I have fine, slippery hair, lots of it too so it appears to be thick because there is so much of it... My hair never holds any curl either. The only time it ever held a curl/styling is when it was damaged from lightening it too often and made my hair rough...... Or gobs of hair spray. If I curl my hair with curling iron after it's dry then add dry shampoo it helps.
Instead of shampoos...how about some volumizing products....foams and stuff. They can really make hair APPEAR thicker....nothing will actually MAKE it thicker!
I agree, and the only way a shampoo could make one's hair seem thicker is if some of the product remained on the hair after shampooing.
A good haircut with some texturing, product and teasing will help; also hair coloring.
I use Avalon shampoo on my fine hair.. which has got even thinner as Ive got older and no one knows , this shampoo is marvellous.. I use the Avalon Rosemary one..
I remember Pert used to fluff up my hair quite a bit, but do they still make it?
