I was told by somebody that taking bath with hot water will loosen your hair, is it true ?
If yes, then how do I take bath in winter ?

Wow really? Hair can come out sometimes when it softens the hair follicles.. I assume its because of the heat. I should maybe try to wash my hair quick with hot, but then switch to cold so it leaves the coating and finish to be kinda chilled.

No, it is not true.

Just bathe in water that's the temperature you like year round.

You should never subject your hair to hot water, period. It's damaging to the cuticle. Lukewarm to cold is best if you want to keep your hair healthy and well managed. This is EVEN when it's a cold winter. This is coming from somebody who dyes her hair frequently, but still manages to have healthy hair thanks to research and a hairstylist best friend. Yeah, I may shiver while I'm washing and rinsing, but I value my hair and the money I put into it.

And hair comes out naturally everyday. It's shedding and regrowing constantly.

The temperature of water has nothing to do with your hair falling out.

I take your word for it. I mean I always wondered why my hair came out like a gorilla sometimes or why the drain got clogged very often at the fast pace that it did.

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez, my relationship with my hair is like Ron Burgundy and his hair I take 3 hot showers a day, and my fiancee runs her fingers through my hair. She just loves it.

No more hot showers for Tony. BBbbbbrrrr, it's cold already

Interesting. I always wash my hair in water so hot I come out beet red. I also dye my hair every 3-4 weeks with vastly different colors and have never had a problem with my hair falling out. *shrug*

Of course not! Not unless you scald yourself enough to burn your skin!

Washing in cold water doesn't make hair healthier, nor does it leave it more shiny. Urban myths. Shampoos and conditioners work best with warm water. If hair is damaged by a hot flat iron, why would it be damaged by bathing water that never gets as hot as electrical equipment?

Washing in hot water will not damage or loosen hair. Unless a train trichill...whatever or a dermatologist says it does, then I wouldn't believe it. Now, washing your hair in boiling water may cause some problems.
