Hi, I normally go to my stylist, but I am unemployed and need to do this myself. I have permanent color with highlights. I'm thinking I want to go to a solid color. My roots are darker in the roots which are grown out about 3 inches or so. If I want to do an all over color how do I do it so it doesn't grab more in one area over the other? Should I start with the roots and leave on for how long and then work into the rest??? Thanks!
What color are you planning on dying your hair at home?
Also is your hair healthy, damaged or somewhere in between?
My natural color is dark brown/medium brown. I color my hair at home successfully thanks to a lot of practice and research. My base color is light brown, and my highlights are blonde and honey blonde.
Thanks.. I thought I'd posted my first post but obviously hadn't!!
I don't want to go brassy.. My hubby put on a 8 last timehe said he knew best and my hair went bright orange! Had to visit the salon who put a 6n on to tine everything down.
