Brush your hair well.
Coat your hairline, ears and neck before applying dye to your hair.
Put on your gloves.
Use the supplied bottle or a bowl to mix the dye.
Mix your dye with a developer.
Use a comb to separate your hair into four different sections.
Apply the dye to your hair in sections.
Set a timer for how long you need to leave the dye in your hair.
Wipe excess dye off of your neck and forehead with a paper towel or wet cloth.
Wait until the process time is up to rinse your hair.
Shampoo and condition your hair.
Dry your hair and style as usual.
Hope you will try it.
Excellent advice.

I agree with other posts it may be best to seek a hair dresser one that specializes in coloring.

If you do decide to try a home hair color make sure to first do the color allergy test. In the kit it explains how to do this.

Maybe go to a professional colorist and ask for Balayage (??). I think that's how to spell it.
It's the color that doesn't begin directly at your roots, and looks somewhat ombre.
Then you won't have to worry about regrowth until you're more confident with coloring your hair.

Not possible. That's the reality when you start coloring your hair, that it WILL require periodic touching-up. And the greater the contrast between your natural color and the color you use, the more noticeable the "line of demarcation" will be. Look at any non-natural blonde who bleaches their hair and you'll see what I mean. I do henna over blonde/gray so, at age 42, I can always make the excuse that "my hair is graying" if I want to push out my re-color by another week.
