I just got a short hair cut and bought a round roller brush to use. The longer part of the hair in
front keeps getting too wrapped up in the roller. Its not a huge brush but I think it was the biggest
they had in the big chain Wal Mart but not walmart type store (Meijers).

IDK, I can't get it to do anything like the stylist when she cut it and blew it out.

I bought a new roll brush a few months ago, and I had to relearn how to do this. Practice when you have time to, and try not to roll the hair tightly on the brush. Also, don't try to dry wet hair this way. Let your hair partially dry first.

If you know a stylist, or are comfortable scheduling time with your regular stylist to do this, ask for instructions.

And, have you checked YouTube for a video? You might try that.

I have never ever had success with a round brush. What I've done is to get a big curling iron and just quickly bend my hair around it - not wrap it tight. Don't keep it on the curling iron for very long (you'll have to experiment) or you'll look like Sandy in Grease circa 1978, or maybe Shirley Temple. I also have a small curling iron for short areas, like the nape, and a medium one, too, for anything in between. And always dry your hair first. Be careful that you don't burn your forehead or neck - I've done that a few times when I wasn't paying enough attention.

You need a better brush. A cheap brush will just cause the hair to wrap and stick. Get an Olivia Garden brush from amazon. They are worth the money. I have the 2 1/8 inch, but my hair is pretty long and you might need one size smaller. You probably need the 1 3/4 or 1 1/4 size, depending on just how short your hair is.

Also, blow the hair in the direction of root-->ends, never the other way. Pull the hair up, out and straight as you blow it - so you're not really wrapping the hair at all, just lifting and pulling.
