Just had my hair colored. This time my hair feels really soft, too soft. Almost like it is thinner than it was before.

Has anyone else had this experience? What would cause this?

Does your hair feel different after you get it colored?

Thanks,

W.

Yes. And Yes

It strips off all the build up
Then rips open the hair shaft
Shoved some color up in there
Seals it again
Then the good conditioner goes on

All is well and good...until the deposits of color start leaving...
And then the hard water deposits take thier place
And you become a walking broom

LOL

But basically the conditioner&sealed smooth shaft

I know! My favorite week of post color is week 2...

Good for you...?
Well I guess thats based on perspective and desire..lol

But no..dumping chemicals all over your head is generally not good for you.
;P

But coloring the hair is just too fun.

HAHA! I know what you mean. And ya, when you deposit color you are essentially HELPING your hair. Cuz when you go lighter you BLEACH your hair which RIPS the color out, and dries out your hair....

ie: why I hate going blonde :P

I LOVE my hair right after I color it. I have really thick full hair with lots of natural wave...so the sleek smooth feeling after coloring is just wonderful!!

My hair is below my shoulders and i have layers. They're like very wiry from the bottom and they're thick and frizzy. They're also very dry and my hair feels like straw like literally. Its disgusting.

Give me some suggestions..........

Damaged. Cut it off up to the healthy part and look at what you do to your hair that causes the damage. (color/heat/diet)

Default Gene Juarez

When I color my hair at home and other salons it makes my hair super silky and shiny. when I get my hair colored at Gene Juarez it's frizzy and dry. Why is that? I pay up the nose at their salon too!!
