I took my daughter to get a pedicure the other day and OUCH! My toe was scrubbed so hard that she took off the skin and then dumped alcohol on it. I was not short and tried to pleasant about it, but she still charged me in full and wasn't very apologetic.
I don't think my expectations are THAT high, but maybe you can set me straight. They include:
-a good soaking with maybe a couple salts or soap in warm/hot water- bubbles would be nice for a massage
-a good foot and lower leg scrub that relaxes the muscles. I love the salons who actually massage the calves, feet, and toes
-offer to use the razor on your heals
-trim the cuticles
-use clippers
-paint the nails with 2 coats and finish it with top coat to prolong how long the polish stays on
-optional flimsy flops or my own sandals to dry in

Can you tell what type of experience we had after reading my expectations? Yea, not great.
I would love a place along Hwy 17.

ouch! I hope you didn't tip, or tip well anyway. Ouch again. Just thinking about that makes me cringe. Unfortunatly I cannot help with a nail place. My teenage daughter does our nails.

However...if you need a recommendation on a great hair salon/stylist let me know. We are very, VERY picky and just found the most amazing stylist. On 17. In Yorktown.
