I have sold and rented homes in Michaels Woods and Willow Oaks. Trash pickup is through the cities--not a private vendor. The bill is every other month. Internet and cable providers are Cox Cable, Verizon. There are also the satellite TV vendors for cable. Price can vary but Cox and Verizon offer package deals. The city also provide water and sanitation services--costs vary depending on usage. I have a family of 7 and we have a pool so our bill may not be "typical." The city's Park and Recreation department provide sports. I live in Newport News and my children participated in the sports and other classes offered through P&Rec. The schools and YMCA also offer programs/sports.
