Hello all, I will be moving from Phoenix to Virginia Beach in March. I would appreciate some opinions on the best area to rent for my first year. I would like to be very near the water and would be looking for a small house or condo. I have heard the area around "Chicks beach" is nice and not so touristy. Appreciate any help!

Chick's beach is very cool, and a nice area right next to the Chesapeake Bay. My favorite part of the city from Lynnhaven Colony to Bayville area and Chicks beach.

Definitely check out the Chick's Beach area. You couldn't get more different than Phoenix!
