I am looking for an experienced electrician to do some work at my house in Va Beach. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it.

So I found an electrician on my own. He will charge me $100 to install an outside light (which includes cutting hole in the wall for a switch since there is none now) for the back of the house and also put in an outlet outside. And he will charge $65 to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom (there is currently not one there). Does that sound reasonable to anyone?

That sounds great! Would you post back and let us know how he did? I actually have a couple of things I could have done, and I always put it off because I dread the task of finding someone.

I use Mike's Electric Service when there's something that I can't do myself.

Hmmm. I just called them, and that guy is full of doo doo. He said it would cost " a couple hundred dollas" to replace 3 GFI outlets. I don't think so.

ChessieMom, a few months ago we had to have some work done around the house. We used Dunrite Services. 757-773-5806. They do painting, plumbing and electrical, bath and kitchen remodeling and more. They were thorough and reasonably priced. You might give them a call. Quotes were free.

I also sent you a DM with more info.

Good luck. We were very pleased with the work they did.
