There's a forum called "military life and issues." I'm sure someone on there can tell you exactly what you have to do, if anything at all. They're pretty helpful.

Good choice. We actually dropped prime when I got pregnant. I have a lot of friends who loved Chesapeake general BTW.

Hi everyone-
I stumbled onto this board...I'm also moving to Chesapeake, and pregnant...but I'm looking for a high risk OB...(I'm "older" and having mulitples!). I'm looking into Norfolk General, as they have the high level NICU, but not sure about hospitals or OB's. Any insight?
Thanks

I highly recommend Dr. Coltrin. She and her staff are wonderful. Her office is very close to Leigh Hospital, so that's where she delivers. She accepts Tricare Standard.

I also dropped Prime toward the end of my pregnancies when there were complications. It was the best decision ever!

I don't live in HR (possibly relocating if hubby gets stationed there), but I am a labor and delivery nurse in Cleveland...The best way to find out if a doctor is worth it or not is to call the L&D floor of the hospital and ask the NURSES who they would recommend. We see a lot of "behind the scenes" activity in terms of how doctors really treat their patients. Ask several nurses, when you start hearing the same name over and over again, go to them
