So I've been searching ALL OVER the internet for a detailed explination of the VA Beach school districts. Basically I'm looking for a list of schools by district. For example:

Which elementary and middle schools feed into Kellam High School?

Which elementary and middle schools feed into Cox High School?

Which elementary and middle schools feed into Ocean Lakes High School?

I'm trying to help my friend find a house but we want to search based on the best elementary school within in the best VA Beach school district-- if that makes sense.

I've read that Red Mill ES, Corporate Landing ES, Christopher Farms ES, and Kingston ES are very good. I just can't figure out which school districts they are in!

Any insight you can give me would be grately appreciated! Thanks!

This is a difficult and complex question to answer as feeder schools change and academies take students from anywhere. My wife and I are both teachers in VB. Some of her middle school students go to First Colonial, some to Cox and some to Ocean Lakes. Also, a student can attend nearly any high school in VB b/c most of them have academies. You can live in Bayside (one of the less desired districts) and attend FC or PA.

Just look at a map and you'll see the general area of the school. Kellam is overcrowded, but considered to be a good school. It has no academy. I think that Red Mill students attend Kellam. Corp Landing is prob Ocean Lakes which is ok, but it does have the fabulous Math/Science academy.

Again, look at a map and get pinpoints for houses. The school districts will be listed. But, if you are unhappy you can opt to seek an academy.

Correct! Red Mill ES does eventually lead to Kellam HS.
