Hi guys, I just move to hershey/hummelstown area. By moving, I got a LOT of paper boxes and other recyclable waste. It takes years to get rid of them by weekly garbage pick up. Anyone know is there a public dumpster or recycle center near me or Harrisburg area? And what's the cost? BTW, I also get a lost of leaves need to deal with. Waste Management refuses to pick them up yesterday. Anyone knows leaves dump site and what's the cost? Thanks for reading.

If you are in Derry Twp (a guess by your user name) check out the township recycling center, which is behind the municipal building and in front of the wastewater treatment plant off of Hersheypark Dr opposite the new entrance to the Hershey Co. West Hershey Plant.
Recycling Program You can probably get rid of all you describe for free if you get it there. They may check a driver license as proof of Township residency.
If you are in another municipality, check with that local municipal office. There is often a yard waste dump site.

In PA, garbage pickup is a municipal responsibility. Rules can and do vary by each individual township/borough/city, and by each contract term with each hauler.

What I did when moved from ny to Harrisburg my boxes was in good condition I put them on craigslist in free section and got rid of them that way
