Anybody remember Williamsgrove and Willow Mills amusement parks? I use to go there as young boy. Beautiful setting by the creek. Are they still around? I live in California now and we have nothing like that here.

I believe the Williams Grove amusement park was closed about 7 or 8 years ago. Looks like some of the stands and at least the roller coaster are still standing. I didn't know Willow Mill also had an amusement park -- learn something new every day! Based on what I can see from reading a few old articles, it closed in the late 80s and is now a community park.

Williams Grove closed down after the 2005 season. I was there for the only time one of the last days it was open. I loved being able to get on rides without waiting, and had a particular blast on the bumper cars. (The old wooden roller coaster, even though I liked it, was a little too rough though.)

It's too bad that no one decided to buy and continue the park. Little amusement parks like Williams Grove can be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, they are also a dying breed.

Default Williams grove flea market

I grew up going there as well. Never been to the speedway though. Now every summer there is a HUGE flea market there where you can bring the dogs as well! When they first started it was actually the park so you could still see some of the old ride pavilions. Now it's all outside the park. I have not been back in but the train still runs. Maybe next summer
