Any unwanted death is one too many deaths from many perspective, but, no, this virus isn't particularly deadly enough as a percentage to require people to take a rushed and not fully approved vaccine where we are still learning about the side effects. At least not in my opinion. There are reasons why most vaccine development usually takes years, and some of these include safe observational concerns.

On a daily basis currently about one death in two is due to the coronavirus.

Survivors are not doing well, either.

"He said the potential long-term health consequences are another reason people should take warnings about the disease seriously.

'It's not something you can blow off. This isn't something you want to have. Because even if you survive, you still may be left with some severe complications that make it very hard for you to go back to your baseline functioning.'

Bankhead-Kendall said it's important that if you're experiencing shortness of breath after your COVID-19 goes away, you stay in touch with your primary care doctor.

She also points out, 'There is no long-term implication of a vaccine that could ever be as bad as the long-term implications of COVID.'"

As I already said, if you do not want the vaccine while working for the City of Harrisburg.

Resign and find a new job. Simple. Protest your view.

I couldn't rep. some of you again but I agree - if you are not willing to take steps to get this horrible thing under control - don't work there - and PLEASE don't go out and among people that ARE actually willing to do their part t protect themselves and others.

That's a fair counter to the position. I'd just reiterate that the standard vaccine trials take years for a reason. I'm not concerned about the vaccine, which is why I jumped at the opportunity to get it. But I can understand hesitation from some due to the rushed nature and concern over ongoing need for analysis. Vaccines in general are extremely safe and useful. I don't see why the same won't be the case for the Covid vaccine. But there is still a lot of analysis that has not gone into the vaccine, which is where I think some peoples' fears come from.
