What woulld the commute be year round from Palmyra to Harrisburg? I am sure it is heavier in the summer months because of Hershey.

That's not Northeast PA. But my guess is about a half-hour commute one-way.

You're better off posting in the Central PA or Harrisburg posts.

But I went to school in this area for 3 years and can help you out.

From Palmyra to Harrisburg is about a 15-20 minute commute on 81 South.

Its lebanon county -- but right on the border of dauphin county, where harrisburg is located.

The area gets snow, but its not terrible. Palmyra to Harrisburg would be a very easy/typical commute.

Goodluck.

A lot of people in the Palmyra area commute westbound towards Hershey and Harrisburg because it's cheap to live there, compared to the areas immediately west which are quite expensive by comparison. You would be going with the flow, so as the other posted said -- expect a rather typical commute.

I think most people in that area actually commute into Harrisburg via 322, which can certainly be congested. 81 is less congested but a bit more out of the way, unless you live north of Palmyra close to the highway or are commuting to the northern part of the city or Susquehanna township area.

You most likely talking about 1 hour on Rt. 322. That's the straightest shot to Hbg.
