People in Discovery Harbour have reported problems, but on an infrequent basis. It's never bothered us at all. We drove to the top of HOVE on Saturday, and it was awful. A friend in the car said she could "taste" the sulphur, which I couldn't, but I was starting to have some breathing problems. As we drove lower in altitude, the effects from the vog went away. We've never noticed any vog in the Ranchos.

Wow! We'll be on the BI this Wed. until Aug. 2nd. We love Naalehu (we'll be in K-Bay area) maybe we'll see you down at the farmer's market or at Hana Hou!

Thanks for the update; my place is in the very bottom of the Ranchos and as you mentioned it doesn't seem to get it as bad; at least until I spend a boat load of money building a new house, lol.

Bellalunatic, how will I recognize you? Will you be the one wearing the Hawaiian shirt?

Did you know that the Hana Hou has music on Friday nights? They have a real wide variety of singers, and it's fun.

Balad 1,
Aloha! Just wondering why youre thinking of selling your home on Kauai to move to the Big Island? I know land is cheaper there. I like the Hamakua coast area. Malama pono. Aloha a hui hou...

I have 2 acres of lush tropical plants around the house here on Kauai and the landscaping is killing me; I'm supposed to be retired, lol. Also I'd like to tap into the equity of my place, build what I want and invest the rest.

I like the Hamakua coast too but if I build what I want there I'll be in the same boat money wise as I am here; landscaping probably the same too.

I already own the place in Ka'u so I'm hoping it all works out.
