I know that this is an absolute last ditch effort, but here goes...

On January 14th, I flew from Phoenix into Honolulu and lost my Kindle somewhere between the Airport and the Blaisdell Center.

If anyone has happened to find one or know of someone who may have found it, I will happily compensate for the return of it...

I know that I could easily purchase one, but it was given to me as a gift and has some sentimental value

Much thanks in advance!

Can't you report to Amazon? Since all Kindles associate with user names and have serial numbers, at least whoever got it can't sell it and also you need to block your account to prevent any purchase.

Returns it how, and to where? In my experience people who find things in the street have no idea how to get them back to their owners.

Did you have contact info readily visible on the thing? I put a "Return to: " sticker on everything portable I own like that, and have indeed had lost items returned as a result. No sticker, no return.

Thanks for the posts. Although my name wasn't labeled on it, it does have my contact information under the settings information. I was just hoping and wishful thinking.

Good idea, I NEVER thought of labeling my items like cameras, phones, etc.
I will get that done asap.
Sorry hays..
What did you mean between Airport and Blaisdell? Did you stop any other places? Take a bus? Rent a car? Taxi? Walk?

That depends on the finder knowing enough to look for it and find it. It also depends on the battery being charged and the device not being broken. It's false security. Nothing beats a legible sticky label and a piece of clear tape over it. I once got a lost smartphone back from Mexico because of a sticky label. It took a couple of months, but eventually it found its way home.
