The only thing I would be looking to buy is a condo of one bedroom or a loft in the main island.

I might be getting a job there so I'm trying to get as much info as possible.

Thanks!
Easily... you would be making more than most families. It is a single male surfer's paradise. I'd still be there if I didn't get married.

$75K+ a year can "live well" in Hawaii, better than most. It all comes down to how you define living well.

lol...If you had watched "I love you Phillip Morris", you would know that being gay is more expensive!

I cannot speak for Oahu, but in Hilo condos aren't that expensive to own (I'm from CA though where I could never afford to own a home on 1 income) however HOA are insanely high IMO! I looked at a studio which wanted $400 in HOA, and a 2b2b which wanted $900.

Just curious, what kind of educational background do you have?

It always amazes me when I hear of 'young travelers' relatively fresh from university, commanding such high salaries (or in my opinion, high salaries).

LOL exactly. I am into looking into real estate (not anytime soon!) and 2b2b over 1000 square foot was $900 in a nice building. In another building (not so nice and very run down), a studio went for $300-$400 (I think closer to $400) though a month.

Winki- If you don't believe me I have no problem sharing the real estate links
