My fiance & I are getting married in December. We're looking for somewhere that we can enjoy swimming (since we live in northern Ohio) but also, enjoy the scenery by taking walks & easy hikes. There is so much information on the internet, it's overwhelming. Any suggestions on a town/city??

My best advice would be to set a budget and then see a travel agent. You can do pretty much all those things on any of the islands.

Yes, and preferably one who has actually visited all the islands. (Shop around, ask them on the phone who in their office has first hand travel experience here.)

No matter where you decide to go in Hawaii....TAKE AN AM FLIGHT....the reason being the time difference...when leaving from NY it is a 11 - 12 hour flight...I would always leave as early as possible and this way I would arrive late afternoon or early evening...even with the layover...this way...when you arrive...you can check in...have dinner...a few drinks...and get to sleep early...when you awake in the AM...no jet lag...

Also...forget the water view...it costs tooooo much and you really do not miss anything...and if you don't believe me...just find a window in your home to look out and close your eyes for 30 to 60 seconds and tell me what you see...for that is what you see with an ocean view when the sun goes down...
