As a child, I didn't understand.
As an adult I still didn't.
As a sailor in the South Pacific I learned.

I learned it was possible to go back to
that little grass shack.

But it isn't in the Hawaii you will see as
a tourist.

There is just something about a simple slat
floor decorated with a woven mat and
someone seated playing music.

In the South Pacific I am finding these ideal
homes that are far more attractive than any..

Which island in the South Pacific did you find the grass shack on? Are there pictures?

Hawaii is in the North Pacific so it's gotta be a different one?

Nice boat name!

Lots of neat stuff (including video) can be found Googling HOT BuOYS Sailing Vessel. I'm an old rag man myself, so I know what I'll be doing the next hour or so. Thanks Capt. pbmaise!

Perhaps I am geographically challenged, but isn't Hawaii in the north Pacific?

Yup, we are. However, he hasn't said the little grass shack was on a Hawaiian island. The grass house was a typical construction method through out the Pacific basin, I believe. Mostly folks wanted to keep rain off, it wasn't about keeping warm.

I dunno, I got a bit of a creepy feeling. Older gay guy sailing through the Philippines on a luxury yacht named HOT BuOYS, with photos of YOUNG men, bragging about it, and apparently selling tours to FB readers. I really hope ALL those young men are 18 or older.

That's not a luxury yacht. It's a trimaran. If you want luxury yachts, check out the ones in Newport, RI.

You know that, I know that, but the locals don't know that. All they have to compare to are rusty fishing boats. But way to miss the core of my post.

Yup, it was a deliberate side step. I've not been to the Philippines, so I'm not sure what their conditions are like. Nor do I know what is socially acceptable in their country. From what I've seen of their culture, though, level of income seems to be more important than gender or sexual bias when it comes to relationships. Although that's only based on "mail-order" type relationships, perhaps their general culture is different. So, since I have no knowledge of the matter, I just side step and let others who may know work it out.

Now trimarans and those who sail them, that's an entirely different matter. Just by being on a trimaran, they are pretty much a "rebel" as far as the sailing world goes. Although, now with the America's Cup being raced with multi-hulls, perhaps they are seen in a better light these days.
