Using Hawaiian Moving to move my stuff to the islands and thinking about buying insurance on movinginsurance.com. Anyone has experience with either of the companies? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

If you currently have homeowner's insurance, convert it to renters insurance and it will cover your property while in transit and storage. If you don't have homeowners insurance, get renters insurance.

I checked with Geico and renters insurance will not cover losses caused by the moving company(lost or damaged items).

I was moving stuff myself, so my experience was different. But when I was calling around I did find out that Geico's renter's insurance was worthless. If you qualify, check out USAA.

I don't qualify for USAA and decided not to buy insurance. The company has a good record so hopefully they won't lose anything. I don't have much anyway.......besides it's all stuff and can be replaced.

It will probably be just fine. Good luck and congratulations on the move.

If it's not a lot of things and can all be replaced, which is cheaper in the long run, shipping or replacing once on island?
