Aloha
I was directed to city data from trip advisor hopefully to get some help!
After visiting hawaii 4 times now, One day hopefully in the next 5 years my partner and I would love to move to hawaii. age 23 & 30

As an Australian is this possible?
If so can someone point me in the right direction of the steps required to make it happen?
I have been researching and did a search prior to this thread, but nothing really gave me much info.

Thank in advance

Probably chatting with your embassy might be more productive. There's probably going to need to be a work visa? As well as a general visa? Did you want to become a U.S. citizen?

Visiting doesn't seem to be overly difficult: Non Immigrant Visas | Canberra, Australia - Embassy of the United States

However, there seems to be more rules if you want to move and live here: Lawful Permanent Residents | Canberra, Australia - Embassy of the United States

That's the legal aspects of getting here. After you're here, then there's always the usual aspects of how to make a living that can let you afford to live here. Which island are you considering?

This is pretty much how it is done.
Best of luck.

Work for a company in Australia that has business in Hawaii and transfer. An airline perhaps?

Unlike England and much of the UK, Australia can participate in the Green Card lottery - that is the best option unless you have some special and desirable skill a US company desires.

Viable options include:

1) Marry a US citizen - probably the easiest option

2) Enter the Green Card lottery - the next easiest option

3) Work for a US employer and obtain an E-3 visa part of US-Australia free trade agreements. If you have some hard to get unique skill you are a superstar in (like in technology) this can be an option. This is similar to H1-B visas. You can apply to US companies directly (but many companies don't like to sponsor visas) or work at a local office and ask for a transfer which may or may not ever happen. (Software development/IT Consulting is the best option)

(Transferring with Jetstar or Qantas isn't a viable option - for 1-2 flights a day, it is outsourced)
