Which "they" do you mean? If you mean Hawaii, this is the third one in 14 years. There was a major outbreak in Maui in 2001 and a very small one in Oahu in 2011.

Yes, all of Hawaii. I lived on Maui for almost 20 years. Seems every year there were at least a few cases and yes 2001 had over 100 I believe. It was the year my first child was born there. What a welcome eh?

Or read this thread . We're visiting the east side of Hawaii Island from mid Feb. to beginning March, so I'm glad I saw this. Will make sure to bring mosquito repellent along with the high SPF sunscreen! It's for sure not going to stop me from making my first trip to Hawaii!

Taking a cruise to Hawaii? Can't take fluid containers of any size in your carry on when flying, ya know. 72 cases now reported.

Now 88+ cases up from only 2 on Oct. 28, most of them in Kona. The dumps are finally accepting tires free of charge. About time they wised up.
