The Dog is back ! Woo! Hoo! Bigger and better than ever. I think his show is awesome.And it's not just him that make's the show. I think Beth is great! She do'nt take no crap from anyone. And his kid's , Baby Lisa, Duane Lee and Leeland and his brother Tim are the bomb. I do'nt live there in Hawaii but I think it's nice that he is trying to clean up the street's. And he talk's to the captured about bettering themselves and about " GOD ". Hey sfw1979. I noticed U did'nt get any feed back from anyone. Either no one on this site in Oahu has heard of his show or they do'nt care to talk about him. I'm glad A&E put them back on T.V. Smart move!

So is he's show filmed on Oahu? We watched all the time... my hubby loves it. We are vacationing there in June 09' and were just talking about it the other day.
Of course everyone here has heard of The Dog. Not many people I know watch his show all the time, although lots of people respect him. It's just a TV show, not an indication of life in Hawaii, or Hawaiian people, or anything broader. I think of it like any other cop "reality" show. If you are a cop, you generally don't think the small bits they show on TV totally represent life as a police officer. They show the dramatic, good-for-TV parts, and leave out the rest.
Also, at least on Maui, I've found locals to be less star-struck than most mainlanders. There are celebrities here all the time, and they rarely get that big stir of attention except from visitors. Not because they aren't known by or interesting to the locals, but more because of respect for the desire to have a nice vacation without all that hubbub.
my sister is a bail bondsman on Kaua'i. she's not too impressed with him. and she does not watch his show. and her bounty hunters do NOT suit up like they do on that show ha ha....
and she has gotten real sick of people calling her bail phone looking for The Dog!!!
