Since cans in question could have metal particles I waiting for the ever-resourcefull Malama Market manager to increase the price and slap a "Fortified With Iron" sticker on the cans.

I just checked my SPAM, can looks great, a little dusty perhaps, and some rust around the key, but, it states on the bottom, 'Best if used by 2035'. Doesn't give a month though, so I'll just chance it.

Anyone have a clear definition as to what Armour means by the term 'used' in this context? Would that be 'used' for spackling, or mouse bait??? Hood ornament? Surfski anchor???? Inquiring minds need to know

Several decades ago or so ago my mother-in-law hurled a can of Spam at her son and myself after we dropped the wedding cake for one of her daughter's wedding while unloading it out of the car. She was a large woman (my mother-in-law) and had a rifle arm. Luckily, her accuracy was suspect much beyond twenty feet, but it did put a small dent in my car. It was the day before the wedding and we were able to replace the cake (as I recall, at a sizable price), and the day was saved. I later spotted the can of Spam. It had been returned to the kitchen shelf for future uses. Waste not, want not.
